The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty recently awarded more than $75,000 in scholarships to 27 local students pursuing post-secondary education, as well as to students attending parochial high schools in the area. Awards for the 2020 – 2021 academic year range in amount from $500 to a full-tuition scholarship for 4 years of undergraduate education at the University of Cincinnati.
“We are so proud of our 2020 scholarship recipients” said Erin Clemons, Foundation president and CEO. “The generosity of scholarship fund donors gives these students a boost as they move to the next phase of their education.”
Scholarship funds managed by the Community Foundation are established for a variety of reasons, often in memory of a loved one or to support a specific field of study. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee and recipients chosen based on criteria established by the scholarship fund holder.
